Facebook Recants its Changes to Terms of Use

Most sites seem to think, that their TOS and other legalese on their sites get skimmed over. Because who in their right mind would scour and read all that legal mumbo jumbo. Unfortunately, the Consumerist.com, a consumer rights advocacy group has enought time to do just that. Early in February, Facebook modified its terms of use so that the site "Can Do Anything We Want With Your Content. Forever." [ via Consumerist.com ]. After a prompt uprising on the site, with tens of thousands of users joining various protest groups on facebook itself and across the blogosphere and twittersphere, Facebook has reverted its Terms of Use to its previous version while simultaneously trying to quell the nervous facebook population. Moral of this story? Don't change your TOS expecting it to go unnoticed ... because someone may be watching.
