Watch the announcement of
Google's Twitter Partnership and Social Search demonstration.
This should be a great addition to Google's new Social Search product, which it also unveiled today.
To use Social Search, you must be logged in to your Google Profile. Then, Google will automatically augment search results with additional information from your friends.
For instance, if you are searching for information on a new restaurant, Google might provide Yelp reviews, tweets, photos, and videos of the restaurant posted by your friends — in addition to its usual search results.
I'm guessing that Google learns about your friends when you configure your profile to link to your various social accounts.
Not to be left out,
Bing offers a beta of a Twitter search.
