Tecture is a rapidly growing web design and development firm located in the Loop that creates rich and sophisticated sites and web applications. We are currently seeking a skilled web designer to join our evolving team, capable of creating innovative and effective design elements for our ever-growing list of various clientele.
Desired skills:
- Professional web/interactive design expertise
- Proficiency in Photoshop & Illustrator
- Active proponent of web standards, usability & accessibility
- Emphasis on clean, usable & sophisticated layouts
- Meticulous eye for detail & style
Bonus Skills:
- Flash design / ActionScript knowledge
- Experience creating UI & IA documentation (wireframes, sitemaps,
etc.)
- Knowledge of XHTML/CSS and dynamic content
- Knowledge of web content management systems
- You don't use Dreamweaver
We need someone who lives for clean, compliant design implementation
and has a good eye for design. Someone who is passionate about
standards, is a whiz with Photoshop, Illustrator and other emerging
technologies. Your work will directly impact our efforts with a
rapidly growing client list, our Web 2.0 projects, and the long-term
success and growth of our company.
Aside from your valuable skill set, we would also like to know a little bit about your personality. Thus, simply answer...have you taken the red pill or the blue pill?
You would be spending your days creating fresh designs and wireframes
(and potentially building out some of your creations in HTML and CSS).
We are very busy working on multiple projects. We’re small, flexible and
generally pretty easy to get along with except between the hours of 2pm-3pm when we devise ways to take back our homes from our domineering household pets. We believe in a casual dress, "work hard play hard"
environment with occasional bouts of uncontrollable, unexplained laughter. Education and experience are less important than good design, clean code, and a creative drive.
