Blake Standard designer, Pierre Colorado, was featured in the Chicago Tribune weekend feature "Above the Fray," showcasing a handful of sharp and talented designers throughout Chicago that have thrived during a time when other fashion shops have failed to survive.

Blake Standard's influential and innovative designs are currently found at over 30 stores throughout Illinois, seven of them here in Chicago, including Macy's on State Street, where his designs have been moved from the Chicago designers section to the premium denim area. 

Pierre left his senior designer position for Abercrombie & Fitch's Hollister brand five years ago to strike it out on his own.  The move has been paying off, with additional chains like Neiman Marcus looking to him to extend his line.

Blake Standard manages their ecommerce, and their website, through Tecture's Site Ignition platform.
