In Novemeber 2007, Check, Please! — a popular restaurant review program featured on NBC and WTTW in Chicago — launched a new website just before their 7th season and became the first network of video restaurant recommendations from real people. The site, a custom creation utilizing .NET 2.0, Flash, and Ajax, allows users to explore Chicago and hundreds of its restaurants.

Checkplease.tv allows users to interact by reviewing and ranking their favorite (or possibly not so favorite) restaurants. In addition, users can create accounts, recommend new restaurants, and submit auditions to star on the Check, Please! television show.

A custom Flash video player directs users to various restaurant recommendations and helps to provide additional information on restaurants, recommenders and reviewers. Built for flexibility, new features and widgets are planned. These are being added as both Check, Please! expands to other cities, and the needs of its user community burgeons and grows!
