Announced on: 04/02/10 On March 17th, Tecture took a much-deserved break from the daily challenges of web design and took a train ride over to Chinatown for our yearly (though a li'l late) celebration of the Chinese New Year...on St. Patrick's Day.

Arriving at the Lee Wing Wah restaurant, members of the Tecture team were treated to a fulfilling smorgasbord of broccoli and beef, ginsing root soup, string beans, pan fried noodles, fish, chicken, and a couple of humorous fortune cookies.  Tecture was joined by the always-welcome presence of co-founder Tony Moy's own grandmother who lives just a few blocks away and always looks forward to this yearly event.  Lunch was topped off with a quick visit to Joy Yee's for some bubbly bubble tea, a few poses in the courtyard next to the Tiger statue to celebrate the year, and then the train ride back to the office to resume our work.

Some companies have retreats to foster bonding in the office.
Some companies chant through drum circles to promote and strengthen expression.
Tecture, however, has a good grip on all of these things and chooses, instead, to simply gorge ourselves on fine cuisine, pat ourselves on the back for a lunch-well-eaten, clean the soy sauce off our faces and get back in the trenches of our fine client services.

Tecture relished in our awkwardly-Asian celebration of the great Irish holiday, and like always, we did it in style!
