In partnering with MyAdventures on this release of the website, Tecture had a larger hand in determining development direction as well as taking the lead in the bold new design. Goals for this project were to completely redesign the identity of the site, simplify the overall user experience, and give members reasons to return to the site other than just to upload their latest adventures. Tecture hit all points for this successful relaunch. 

MyAdventures designer, James Morvay, challenged the client to walk outside comfort levels and embrace bringing adventure into the very design of the site. James walked away from a softer, vanilla pallate and layout and created a new design worthy as a canvas for all the exciting adventures that members are already uploading to the site. Tecture used a bold contrast in color to both simplify what members see on the site as well as give appropriate prompts to take action. The end result is an attractive presentation that's resulting in increased member activity on the site. 

Simplifying the overall user experience to increase site activity was a large focus of the relaunch. Registration was reduced from a few pages to how just a few clicks. Tecture simplified a once complicated navigation with a dashboard of information currated to each member's specific interests. Improved site search now serves up adventures pertaining to both activity as well as global location. New features include adventure planning which gives members a reason to visit the site before an adventure, a reason to return when their adventure is complete, and also makes an adventure upload more robust with pre- and post-details! Favoriting members and adventures, tagging members onto adventures, and comment notifications are new features designed to increase site traffic and return visits. Spencer Regalado, lead developer on this project, noted the dashboard as his favorite acheivement. "It centralizes everything on the site for the member. It's a bulletin board for everything happening on the site that's important to that specific member."

With new features launched through weekly iterations, the new MyAdventures.com continues to grow and give its members various, effective ways to pull friends, old and new, even further into their own personal adventuring experiences.
