Software Engineer

Avner Shanan is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago where he majored in Computer Science with a minor in Bioengineering. At Tecture he does a mixture of back-end work in PHP, ASP .NET/C# and SQL and front-end work with the usual suspects (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery).

Outside of work Avner has many interests including electronics projects, woodworking, and gardening. If he's not at Tecture, you can most likely find him at Pumping Station: One, a communal workshop and Chicago's first hackerspace, where he is currently serving as the PR Director.
