Rather than building yet another social networking website, Tecture and MyAdventures.com decided to leverage Facebook's Developer API to integrate seamlessly with Facebook. Visitors can log into the site using their Facebook login and password, reducing one extra instance where they would have to remember yet another login and password on yet another site. Not only can users publish their MyAdventures.com Trip Reports, Journals and comments directly onto their Facebook status updates, but they can also do so onto their Twitter accounts, allowing every new instance on their MyAdventures.com profile to be shared with various friends through various social networks all at the same time.
