In conjunction with redesigning their site, Quaker State also promoted its new site with a video contest dubbed the "World's Worst Commute". The video contest requires its contestants to send in a short video of why their commute is the "World's Worst Commute". The winner at the end of the contest, would be driven to and from work by Jimmie Johnson in addition to a VIP trip to see the Bank of America 500 in Charlotte, NC. The site integrated many different technologies during which Tecture worked with different parties(DonerUS, Exposure Marketing, vSocial) to complete the site. Tecture was responsible for the majority of the Flash Actionscript across the site. Integrating into content managed feeds provided by DonerUS, submitting and streaming multiple video formats through vSocial Video API's,connecting to the ranking/voting processes on Exposure Marketings contest PHP/mySQL database, and creating the transitions, animations and custom components for the site, Tecture blitzkrieged through the development in under a month. The site launched in 2009 just after Valentine's Day.
