Smith Optics is an innovative pioneer in sports eyewear, goggle and lens technology. Smith Optics chose Tecture to develop a custom ecommerce site for the information resource and sale of their top-of-the-line sports eyewear.
Tecture wireframed the new website for optimal usability before designing, developing and implementing various new features for launch. Tecture executed Smith Optics' desired results through custom code written in SQL, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS and then finished with design. Smith Optics also wanted to enhance their Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Tecture accomplished this through HTML enhancements, URL rewriting and AJAX to align with best practices.
We implemented a search function for its site visitors and completed the project by integrating a full ecommerce hook-up to Smith Optics' databases and servers.
A primarily data-driven website, Tecture developed the custom back-end to empower the Smith Optics team to manage day-to-day updates so that they can adjust their site to match the growth of their business.
